On behalf of the International Society of University Colon and Rectal Surgeons, we are pleased to invite you to our XXII Biennial Congress, held September 14-17, 2008 in beautiful San Diego, California, USA.

Our Biennial Congress is returning to the United States after a twenty-year absence, and ISUCRS is excited to return to one of its most vibrant cities.  San Diego is California’s second largest city and is renowned for its idyllic climate, miles of sandy beaches, and an impressive array of activities for all to enjoy.  Our headquarters hotel and congress venue is the Manchester Grand Hyatt.  The Hyatt has much to offer attendees and their guests and all situated along a breathtaking waterfront location. 

Under the leadership of ISUCRS President, Dr. Robert Beart, and Congress Convener, Dr. Elliot Prager, our congress program promises to be the world’s pre-eminent forum for the research and treatment of colorectal and anorectal diseases.  Over 600 colorectal surgeons and experts in related disciplines will convene for 3.5 days on such topics as inflammatory bowel disease, hereditary colon cancer, diverticular disease, and laparoscopy.  There will also be poster sessions, an Exhibit Hall, an afternoon tour and our evening Gala Dinner.
